May Reads

I did it! I read 3 books in May and they were three REALLY good ones!

  1. Lies that bind us by Andrew Hart
This was a free monthly download with my kindle so I wasn’t sure I would like it but I really did! There was so much suspense in this book, and it alternates between the present and the past which really helps to build the suspense. Most of the book you’re just wondering what the hell is going on, but I really liked that!
  2. The girl before by JP DelaneyΒ
This was a proper thriller in the style of Gone Girl (which I happen to love) a bit twisted, a bit whudunnit, some psychos…you know the drill!
  3. Swimming Lessons by Claire Fuller
I think this may be my favourite read of 2018 (so far anyway) it reminded me of I Capture the Castle (one my all time fave books) but with a modern edge to it. It was poignant and poetic and just a really special book.
