The last of the summer

September is one of my favourite months of the year. With summer fading and the smell of Autumn in the air, the nights start to draw in and the leaves begin to turn. This September has been quite warm and sunny so far and Monkey man and I spent a lovely Saturday picking blackberries and making jam.

Yesterday I took a little detour on the way home from work and when for a tromp up on Arnside Knott (where Jack used to graze), it was a beautiful evening…

Betty was playing a little game of hide and seek when I got back to her…

After a little tromping activity I went to visit my boy…and gave him his first proper plait.

Isn’t he beautiful? (I know I’m biased)
