Summer walks

On Sunday Monkey Man and I got up early and strolled over to Leighton Hall via Leighton Moss. The route is a bridleway and one which I used to frequent when I was much younger. There is so much beautiful countryside along the route, and even though we set off at 8.30am I still managed to get a little sunburn from the early morning sun!

I like to tromp in the early morning when there’s no one about and the sun is shining. Early morning light makes for great photographs.

The wild garlic is in full bloom at the moment, and it’s everywhere!

As usual I had to make friends with a cow…who came over and let me tickle his nose whilst he licked my hand.

Leighton Hall is pretty impressive and I love that this walk leads you right up the sweeping driveway.
